John has been actively employed as a Clinical and Environmental Microbiologist for over 21 years. His employment experience includes positions with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Veteran's Affairs Medical Center (Syracuse) and the S.U.N.Y. Health Science Center (Syracuse). He holds an M.S. degree in Microbiology from the University of Rhode Island, as well as a faculty appointment with Onondaga Community College. John is a two-term New York State Director for the Northeast Association for Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Disease (NACMID), as well as a member of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM).
